Dr. Lindsey Smith talks with Oklahoma playwright and tribal issues lawyer Mary Kathryn Nagle about her latest play, Sovereignty. Her work is an account of the murders of Cherokee leaders -- and Nagel’s direct descendants -- John and Major Ridge in a fight to preserve tribal sovereignty. Nagle was recently honored as a recipient of the prestigious United States Artist Award.
