The Artist Behind the Statue

In 2022, former OSU President Burns Hargis became a permanent fixture on campus thanks to local artist Mike Larsen. Using his decades worth of experience, Mike was able to create the 10-foot-tall statue that now stands outside the student union. Meghan Robinson sat down with Mike and his wife Martha, to discuss the process of creating the monumental bronze.
