Mark Nelson - 2012 Outstanding Senior

Mark Nelson is a Russian language and literature, and aerospace and mechanical engineering major from Oklahoma City, Okla. He is the son of Alan and Jean Nelson. Nelson’s activities include OSU Track and Cross Country, The Daily O’Collegian, the Honors College and the Terra Rubea Engineer Exchange program. He spent his time tutoring for the OSU Athletic Department and was a teaching assistant for the Engineering Department and the Department of Foreign Languages. Nelson was the top OSU scorer for the William Lowell Putnam Examination in Mathematics and was named a W.W. Allen Engineering Scholar, Rhodes Candidate for OSU, two-time Wentz Research Scholar and an Academic All-Big 12 in Track and Cross Country.
