Angelika Arutyunova, an alumna of the School of Global Studies at Oklahoma State University, is a feminist social justice consultant who has made a difference in many women's rights movements across the world. She supports organizations through helping to develop strategies, conduct research, facilitate meetings, and advocate for resourcing movements. Angelika’s social justice work began as youth activist in Uzbekistan, her home country. Two decades later, she has developed a professional career promoting women’s and LGBTIQ rights and philanthropy. Angelika worked for the world’s largest women’s rights foundation, Global Fund for Women, and Association for Women’s Rights in Development, one of today's flagship feminist organizations. She conceptualized, developed and co-authored groundbreaking research on funding trends within AWID’s “Where is the Money for Women’s Rights” initiative. This research has contributed to successful advocacy to improve and increase funding for women’s rights across the globe. Angelika served as the Program Director for AWID’s International Feminist Forum in Brazil in 2016. Angelika also co-founded FRIDA, the only feminist youth-led fund in the world that is now thriving with close to $1 million in grant funding each year.
