Vera Alma Preston-Jaeger’s mother, Liberty Bennett Preston was the third child of Oklahoma State University President Henry G. Bennett and his wife, Vera. Vera Preston grew up in Stillwater and has many childhood memories of time spent with her grandparents in the president’s home on the Oklahoma State University campus.
